We know that the whole life of a Muslim who strictly adheres to the canons of his faith is carefully scheduled and regulated. The rules that must be followed apply to all spheres of the life of the faithful. And, of course, there are special laws that newlyweds must observe in preparation for and during their wedding night.

As with any other traditional religion, the first wedding night in Islam is the crown of a wedding ceremony called nikah. Sharia rules tell newlyweds what needs to be done so that their future life together is happy and pleasing to God.

Bedroom preparation

Bed linen for the first wedding night is brought into the bedroom by the bride - it is included in her dowry. Left alone in the bedroom, the young should make sure that there are no strangers and animals in the room besides them. In addition, they carefully check whether the Koran is in the room, which must either be taken out to another room or, at least, covered with a thick cloth. The light in the bedroom should be dim or completely absent.

Prayer

As before any other important matter, before lying on the wedding bed, the bride and groom pray. During the prayer request (dua), the man pronounces the sacred phrase "Bismillah" and, putting his hand to the woman's head, says the following words: "O Allah! I ask You for her blessings, and the blessings of her nature. And I resort to Your protection from her evil and from the evil of her nature”(Abu Davud, Nikah, 46).

Then the newlyweds perform a double prayer and ask Allah: “O Allah, bless me in relations with my wife (husband) and her (his) in relations with me. O Allah, affirm the good between us and in the event of separation, part us in a good way!"

At the same time, a man leads the prayer, which symbolizes his leadership in family life.

Namaz is not only an important part of the religious tradition, but also a method of psychological influence. Thanks to prayer, young people cope with their anxiety before the first intimacy.

Just before entering into an intimate relationship, a man reads another dua: "O Allah, they gave Satan away from us, and gave Satan away from the child you will give us!"

Communication between the bride and groom

For Muslim newlyweds, the wedding night is not only the first sexual contact, but often the first opportunity to fully communicate and get to know each other better. It is no secret that the bride and groom in the Islamic tradition do not always know each other before the wedding, and during the wedding they are too busy to talk.

Left, at last, alone, the young spouses can talk calmly. It so happens that the bride is not psychologically ready to fulfill her marital duty on the first night. Shariah forbids to force her to do this and recommends to postpone sex until the young woman gets used to her husband.

First sex between newlyweds

Shariah requires a man to show maximum tenderness and patience on his wedding night. The wife must learn to trust her husband, and he, in turn, gain her favor. The husband should be affectionate and caring, and the young wife should respond to him with tenderness and respect. Under no circumstances should you demonstrate indifference to your spouse.

The postponement of sexual contact can be justified not only by the psychological state of the girl, but also by her critical days or poor health. In this case, the husband should show understanding and not show excessive persistence, and even more so not to force his wife to have sex by force.

Concepts of maiden honor

In some regions of the world where Islam is practiced, it is customary for the relatives of the bride and groom to be near the door of a married couple during the first wedding night. They must listen carefully to what is happening outside the door in order to receive evidence of the bride's innocence. This strange custom, like the display of a sheet of blood, has nothing to do with Sharia and is condemned by Islam.

For Muslims, everything that concerns maiden honor and intimate relations between spouses is in the competence of her husband and outsiders do not take any part in this. In case of revealing deprivation of virginity before the first wedding night, the spouse himself makes a decision - to forgive the young wife and pretend as if nothing happened, or return her to her parents with a scandal. In the event that the young man turns out to be innocent on their wedding night, the husband is obliged to spend at least seven next nights with her.

Ritual ablution

After the first wedding night, the young couple take a bath called "ghusl". It carries not only hygienic, but also ritual meaning. It is strictly forbidden to start morning prayer without washing after the first wedding night.
