Housemates from the American city of Chicago, Illinois have begun dating thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. This is reported by the publication People.

Alex Morton and Stacie Pawlicki have lived in the same apartment building since September 2019, but have begun communicating thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. “I was waiting for a courier delivery from IKEA, near the elevator. At this time, a man came out of the next apartment and greeted me. I looked at him and wondered how handsome he was. Then I immediately wanted to run away as soon as possible, since I was not wearing makeup,”said Pavlicki.

33-year-old Morton started a conversation with a neighbor, but soon a courier arrived and interrupted their conversation. A new acquaintance offered Pavlicky to help with the furniture installation. "Then I met with another person and did not understand whether to regard our communication as flirting, or is it just a kind gesture from a neighbor," said the American.

After that, the couple met by chance several times in the elevator, and their brief conversations gradually grew into something more. On March 20, 2020, the state introduced a restrictive regime due to the pandemic, and Pawlicki met Morton, who was about to go for a run. She invited him to visit, and the man agreed.

Over time, they got to know each other better, and by July they decided to move in. “A year ago, I would not have thought that the world would become closed, and thanks to this I will find love. And it will be the guy who lives next door,”Pavlicki said.

The couple hopes that with the vaccine spreading, they can travel together, go to concerts and movies, attend friends' weddings and explore the city.

Earlier it was reported that retirees from the English city of Prestwich, Greater Manchester, realized that they loved each other, and decided to move in due to the coronavirus pandemic. The couple sings wartime songs together to entertain themselves during quarantine.
