On the night of February 26, security officials again visited the Sredneuralsky Convent. Supporters of its founder Nikolai Romanov, who is currently under arrest in Moscow, report this on social networks, Uralinformburo reports.

According to the lawyer Dmitry Kravchenko, who represents the interests of the former schema-abbot, operational activities in the monastery began at about 01.30.

“The Investigative Committee disowns them. The deputy head of the local investigation department, with whom I spoke, said that he did not know at all what was happening. The head of the investigation group said that they had no direct relation to this, that the operatives were carrying out operational measures. As far as I understand, this event is most likely accompanied by the federal security service in cooperation with the OMON, said Kravchenko during the visit of the security forces.

The lawyer, whose video footage of his statement was posted on the "Protection of Father Sergius" telegram channel, believes that what happened at night in the monastery is "another violation of the rights of believers, the rights of the inhabitants of the monastery."

"Windows are breaking again, doors to living quarters are breaking down again without any sanctions. As far as I understand, they are looking for some people. Even without finding people, they continue to look for them, provoke some conflicts," he said.

In the public of Nikolai Romanov's supporters on VKontakte, it is suggested that they are looking for his cell attendant, Siluan's father. At the moment, according to the available information, the security forces have finished inspecting the living quarters of the nuns and began to re-inspect the cells of the priests.

The previous time the security forces stormed the Sredneuralsky nunnery on the night of December 29, when Nikolai Romanov was detained. The former schema-abbot was taken to Moscow on the same day, where the court decided to arrest him for two months. A little later, the TFR clarified the claims against the founder of the monastery: he is accused of inducement to commit suicide (Article 110.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), violation of the right to freedom of conscience and religion (Article 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and arbitrariness (Article 330 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The day before, the Basmanny Court of Moscow extended the arrest of Romanov until May 28.

It should be noted that while the former schema-abbot was in custody, a meeting of the Arbitration Court of the Sverdlovsk Region took place, which ruled that the ownership of the Church of the Mother of God Icon "The Contestant of Bread", built on the territory of the monastery, belongs to the Yekaterinburg diocese.
