Women Support Women is a Turkish-born challenge that has been supported by over 7 million people. For several days, girls have been posting their black and white photos to draw attention to the increase in cases of domestic violence and homicide during quarantine. The posts are accompanied by the hashtags #challengeaccepted, #womensupportingwomen and #blackandwhitechallenge.

The athletes also supported the challenge.

“With this challenge, women from all over the world show that they support each other and draw attention to the struggle for equal rights and opportunities for women,” says synchronized swimmer Alla Shishkina.

“Women, my dears! You are beautiful, magical! You are smart and graceful! Strong in spirit and incredibly brave! I want to support you and send you all the positive, rays of kindness and love that I have,”handball player Vladlena Bobrovnikova wrote.

“Beauty is not in the face, beauty is light in the heart,” said Anna Sidorova, a curler.

“Each of us is unique, beautiful and deserves the best that this world can give us. Don't forget this! And, of course, together we are always stronger,”says Tina Kandelaki, general producer of Match TV.

Tennis players Elena Vesnina and Amanda Anisimova, volleyball player Tatyana Kosheleva and swimmer Yulia Efimova also accepted the challenge.
