Dog behavior can tell a lot about an animal's condition, but dog owners may not always be able to recognize the signals that their pet gives in this way. The newspaper "Vesti Podmoskovya" was told about this by the press service of the Russian Cynological Federation. “Due to the fact that the dog cannot explain what it wants or is experiencing, it shows it through posture, voice and movement. The owner must learn to understand the body language of the animal and correctly interpret each signal. Not only successful communication with the pet, but also the correct interpretation of its behavior will depend on how correctly the owner reads the dog's signals,”said Vladimir Golubev, President of the Russian Cynological Federation. The movement of its tail can tell a lot about a dog. Tail wagging can actually mean a lot. If at the same time the dog is tense and takes a defensive posture, then the wagging tail should be understood as a signal of excitement or even anger. In such cases, you do not need to play with the dog. If the tail is raised high, then at the moment the dog can challenge and join the battle, although much more often this indicates an excited, but very confident state of the animal. A tail between the legs indicates that the dog is nervous or afraid of something. If this happens often, then she should be taken to the veterinarian. A lowered wagging tail indicates that the dog is relaxed and feels joy from something. The eyes can tell a lot about the dog. If she stares at one place for a long time, this is a sign of excitement and anxiety. And if she growls at the same time, then this is defensive behavior, which may have a reason. When the dog looks away or squints, it is a demonstration of resignation. But it is possible that the dog does not trust you then. Moving the ears a little back and to the sides is a sign that the dog is now friendly and cheerful. If she shows interest in something, then the ears will rise up and will be directed to the source of this interest. But with aggression, the dog pulls the ears forward and up, and sometimes press them tightly to the head. With fear, the ears of the animal tilt back. If a dog yawns, this does not mean that he wants to sleep. This often indicates stress and a desire to get rid of worries. A simple grin and bared teeth are not at all a sign of aggression, but, on the contrary, obedience. But if this is accompanied by growling, protective stance and raised hair, then this is already aggression. Your dog also feels uncomfortable when he often licks his face. In the case when the dog is pressed to the ground, bending its legs and pressing its tail, this may indicate that it is scared or afraid of something. In a state of confidence and his superiority over the world around him, the dog will try to be more than he is, raising his head and tail high. If a dog puts a paw on a person's knee or just touches him, then she asks for affection and attention. But if she lay on the floor with her stomach upside down, this does not mean at all that she wants the same. Perhaps this is a call to leave her alone. When wagging its tail in such cases, there is no doubt that the dog needs just caress and play. As a rule, owners know their dogs well and understand their body language, but not all habitual gestures can indicate an underlying emotion. Therefore, you need to treat your pet even a little more carefully.
