When choosing a man, a woman is interested in his romantic attitude (manifested as seduction) and health (attractiveness and intelligence), not availability, according to a study by British scientists published in the journal Evolutionary Behavioral Sciences.
Experts have discovered that women, like men, easily identify partners who are inclined to casual sex, but the main criteria for choosing partners for the former and the latter are different.
"Women are not attracted to men who are easily manipulated or easily deceived,"
- said evolutionary psychologist Laura Adair from Brunel University (UK).
The authors came to similar conclusions by interviewing 151 female students in one of the American universities. The respondents were asked to rate 110 photographs of men according to the degree of attractiveness for relationships in the short-term (casual sex) and long-term (monogamous relationships) perspectives.
In January 2016, US doctors published an article in the journal JAMA Oncology in which they stated that regular oral sex increased the risk of laryngeal cancer in the receiving partner by 22 times.
