American scientists have explained why women suffer more in road accidents than men.

The research was undertaken by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in the USA. Experts studied data on major road accidents that occurred in the country from 1998 to 2015. They noticed that the risk of dying in such an accident is on average 20-28% higher for women than for men. At the same time, the fairer sex is also more susceptible to severe injuries (37-73% more than men).

It turned out that the reason for this lies not at all in physiological characteristics. Experts concluded that the vulnerability of girls is associated with driving smaller, and therefore less safe, cars.

If auto ladies preferred the same cars as men, then the likelihood of injury would be equally likely for both sexes. According to Motor.ru, according to experts, the only cars in which women can be more or less safe are frame pickups.

Previously, scientists have shown that driving skills depend on the color of the car that a person is driving. Experts from a driving training company have conducted research and have shown that the pink color of the car has a calming effect on students. This provides more confidence during exams.
