Over the past two years, the number of men who apply to the Moscow service for psychological assistance to the population has grown by two percent. Olga Tenn, Deputy Director of the Moscow Service for Psychological Assistance to the Population, told the Moskva agency about this on Thursday, December 12.

At the same time, she clarified that the bulk of requests remain with women - approximately 75 percent. Tenn explained this by the fact that men tend to restrain their emotions to the last. However, according to her, some problems are difficult to solve on their own.

In addition, the director of the assistance service said that women and men come to specialists with different problems and needs. So, men more often discuss with a psychologist the problems associated with internal conflicts, and women - the problems of their loved ones.

In October, it was reported that more than 70 percent of Muscovites do not suffer from depression. As explained in the Moscow Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, this is evidenced by the results of online and offline testing, in which 15.6 thousand residents of the capital took part on October 10 and 11. Of these, only 26.4 percent had manifestations of a depressive state.
