In British Penzance, the local theater actress Rogue is honored for saving three drowning women while relaxing on the beach. This is reported by the publication Cornwall Live.
The incident happened on Tuesday, June 23, when 28-year-old Jessica Leighton was sunbathing topless on a local beach. The girl decided to swim for the last time before the tide began. Already in the water, she saw two young women near the rocks, trying to get out of the water. A third rushed to help them, but it also began to sink.
Jessica swam up to the women and tried to explain to them that they should swim, since that was the best thing they could do in the middle of a turbulent current. But the women panicked so badly that it wouldn't work. They all held hands, so the actress grabbed one of them and pulled the rest of them to the shore.
The drowning ones turned out to be relatives - sisters and a cousin. The family expressed their gratitude to Jessica for her heroic deed. Friends of the actress reported the incident on social networks, where users in the comments dubbed her a "legend."
Earlier, the head of the Association of Farms and Cooperatives of the Kuban, Viktor Sergeev, died while saving a drowning child. A 71-year-old man had a heart attack and was unable to get out of the water.
