More than 48.5 thousand marriages were registered in Moscow in January-July this year, which is 3.5% more compared to the same period in 2016. This was reported to the Moscow City News Agency in the Analytical Center.
“In January-July 2017, 48 thousand 529 marriages were registered in Moscow, which is 3.5% more than in the same period last year - 46 thousand 908,” said a representative of the center.
He specified that seven young men and 45 girls were married before the age of 18. In addition, 6 thousand 189 men and 10 thousand 812 women in the 18-24 age group entered into marriage; between the ages of 25 and 34, 26 thousand 945 men and 25 thousand 928 women were married. In the 35-50 age category, 11,762 men and 9,419 women were married in the capital, and at the age of 51 and older - 3,626 men and 2,325 women.
“In addition, in January-July, 7,139 marriages (or 14.7%) were registered with the participation of foreign citizens; including 259 marriages were concluded between spouses, both of whom are foreigners,”added the representative of the GBU.
