"For a long time we thought it was just talk. But now there is scientific evidence for all this," says Monika Burman, a psychologist and psychotherapist at Uppsala University. In her opinion, the number of divorces has some influence of the holiday season, which traditionally falls on summer, writes FlashNord.

"Many couples try to improve their relationship during the holidays. And when this fails, a certain reaction arises, and the spouses file for divorce," the psychologist believes.

In addition to the first month of autumn, the beginning of spring and the beginning of the year are leading in the divorce statistics. This is probably due to the fact that already actually separated spouses who have lived for a long time in stable relationships, it takes a lot of time to settle the purely practical issues related to the breakup of families and breakdowns in relationships.

According to the psychotherapist Monika Bürman, if problems arise in family relationships, one should not wait for a vacation in order to resolve the tension that has arisen in the family. And all the more, there is no need to hope that everything will pass by itself: it will not. "It is much more important to live as a couple or family in everyday life, and not during vacation. It is important to think about communication and work on your relationship every day," the expert emphasizes.
