The actress warned those who fearfully await the coming holidays.
Angelina Jolie, 45, a UN Goodwill Ambassador, spoke to Harper's Bazaar UK about the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. Earlier, the organization summed up disappointing results. So, 243 million women were mistreated at home during the year, and this number only increased during the pandemic - the victims were locked up during self-isolation with the aggressors.

On the eve of the Christmas holidays, when cases of domestic violence are constantly recorded, Angelina Jolie urged women to take care of their own safety.
“Try to find allies. Be in touch in case of emergency. For example, you can agree on a code word with a friend or family member that will signal to them that you are faced with an emergency,”advised the artist.
Jolie added that support does not always come from loved ones, sometimes help can be obtained from other victims or members of support groups.
“If it has occurred to you that someone you know might be vulnerable, try to stay close and present in their lives,” the actress added, noting that these people may suffer from PTSD.
