Two 30-year-old K-pop singers Dunga Juun-yang and Choi Jong-huun were sentenced to six and five years in prison, respectively. A court in South Korea found them guilty of raping a woman who fainted due to alcohol intoxication, The Independent reports.
In addition to the rape, Juun-yang was accused of distributing a video recording of the crime. He was also caught in the release of records of sex with other women. He pleaded guilty to the distribution of the video, but said that all his sexual relations took place with the consent of both parties.
Jong-hun is a former member of the FT Island boy band. He was brought to justice after being found on a recording made by Juun-yang. The artist pleaded not guilty, saying that he did not remember having sex with a woman.
Earlier in November, it was revealed that South Korean singer and actress Goo Hara had passed away at the age of 28. One of the versions of her death is called suicide. In 2018, her ex-boyfriend blackmailed her, threatening to publish intimate notes.
