More boys are born in the Angara region than girls, approximately 51-52%. However, a higher mortality rate overtakes men right from the cradle. As a result, the female “century” is 11 years longer than the male one: on average - 75.7 years and 64.6 years, respectively, and in general for the Angara population - 70 years. On the eve of World Day, a man at a press conference held today at the AiF in the Armed Forces press center told the head of Irkutskstat Irina Ivanova.
She noted a strange feature, according to the 2010 census in the Irkutsk region there were 553.3 thousand married men, and married women - 1.5 thousand more.
“Let me remind you that everything is recorded with words, without the presentation of supporting documents. The reason, apparently, is the difference between male and female perceptions: a man, being in a civil marriage (and such marriages, without registration - every fifth!), Sometimes feels free, and his “half” considers himself married, not without reason,”she clarified Irina Vladimirovna.
She said that the average man in the Irkutsk region spends three times more time on household chores on weekends than on weekdays - more than 3 hours. So even on weekends, men spend no more than 1-3 minutes for washing and ironing. And on the purchase of groceries and other goods, as well as on cleaning, the average Russian city dweller spends a whole hour on a day off. Watching TV on weekdays "eats up" almost an hour and a half of free time, and reading is given only 11 minutes.
44% of the men surveyed have no intention of having children. At the same time, 3,125 single fathers live in the Irkutsk region, seven of them have five or more children.
