American researchers from the University of Vancouver said they found out how people's interest in sex has changed in recent years in the United States.
The comparison was carried out within two periods: the current and the beginning of the 90s. It turned out that over twenty years, the attitude to sex in the country has changed dramatically: it has become much calmer. Local residents are not only less interested in this topic, but also less often, in principle, have sex. According to statistics, if earlier the couple had sex 65 times a year, now it is 51, which is 15% less.
In general, scientists note this trend around the world: modern youth are much less interested in this topic than previous generations, since sex is now being replaced by gadgets and the Internet, people sublimate energy in this way. According to some futurists, in the future, people may stop having sex altogether, and reproduce through the laboratory. Scientists say that at the moment it is most often men who initiate intimacy, and women more often refuse, because they think about work or current affairs. However, in men, over time, interest in sex decreases.
In addition, over the same period, the number of unfaithfulness decreased by 20%, which is also explained by a reduced interest in sexual intimacy among people of all ages. At the moment, people simply do not have time to start relationships on the side and devote a lot of time to another person, since they do not have enough time even for family relationships.
