In Bagrationovsk, for the first time, two men, who are brothers to each other, tied their fates with girls - sisters. Two weddings took place on the same day. This in the regional registry office will not be remembered for almost twenty years.
Irina Aksyonova, correspondent: - Love is an amazing thing. So, near Bagrationovsk, Cupid's arrow pierced four hearts at once. Two siblings Edik and Armen fell madly in love with two beautiful girls, who, by the way, are also sisters.
The newlyweds admit that nothing brings them together like cozy gatherings over a cup of tea. The hospitality of the Armenian people is known all over the world. Everyone, family and friends, and even Bobik, gather at the table. The dog also eats sweets with pleasure. It is a good tradition of the Hakobyan family to watch wedding videos.
The young couple got married in August. The event thundered throughout the country and went down in the history of Bagrationovsk. At the local registry office, this is the first time a marriage has been registered between two siblings. The lovers got married on the same day. Parents helped to make the celebration happen.
Naira Hakobyan, mother of Edik Hakobyan:
- For ten years, even more, we knew the parents. The sons were told that the girls were good. Let's go and ask for hands.
On the day of "ArsAnik" - this is the name of the wedding in Armenian, the men swore to their lovers to be faithful and caring. Promises are kept carefully: young people treat each other tenderly and remember with trepidation how they met:
- I went to her house, drove to cinemas, walked. Then, when everything became clear that we were created for each other, so as not to pull anything, with a full answer gathered around the table and discussed that we wanted to get married.
The lovers' temperaments coincided like yin and yang. Edik is an active and lively guy who married a modest and sweet Alvina. The girl is already expecting her first child in her fourth month.

- The Hakobyans always had boys first, according to the tradition of all relatives. I don’t know yet, we didn’t go to the ultrasound, they didn’t show it, but there will probably be a boy. According to tradition, if the first son is born, we will name it in honor of the father; if there is a boy, we will name it Gagik.
The younger couple have similar plans. Anahit and Armen are already choosing toys for their baby.
Anahit and Armen Hakobyans:
- I want at least three children, we don’t know yet, boys or a girl. I would like a boy. - I also want a boy, yes.
Memories are like lucky talismans, young couples believe. Therefore, they keep photos, figurines, and wedding dresses. All these things for Hakobyans are symbols of the beginning of life together.
